CLASS SELECTION

Registration for MiT 2024 starts on NOVEMBER 1st 2023.

Each student indicates the choice of an A-class of three days and a B-class of two days on the registration form.
Some classes are expected to fill quickly, so please indicate 1st , 2nd and 3rd choice for the A-class as well as the B-class. 
Each teacher determines the minimum number of students per class. If the number of students does not meet the minimum amount by May 1, 2024, the class will be cancelled and the students will be given their 2nd or 3rd choice classes. 

IMPORTANT:  If, after the first month of registration, a class has more than 10 requests, a lottery will be held after  December 15. Your payment MUST BE IN by December 15, 2023 to enter the lottery draw! We will communicate the results of the lottery draw to students on December 20, 2023.
Returning students who did not get their first choice last year after the lottery, and who register in November 2023, will get into their class of choice and will not have to take part in this year's lottery. 

After December 15, 2023, students will not be entered in the lottery. Registration for classes that are not full on December 15, 2023, will be dealt with in the order of registration untill the class is full.

 

PRICE

The price for participation is EUR 1275.00 (calculated based on package A, on November 1st, 2024, subject to fluctations of the DKK exchange rate) which pays for classes, room and board from Monday 8th of July 2024 at h10.00 until Friday 12th of July 2024 at h17.00.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Due to Miniature in Tune's obligation to pay taxes in the Netherlands, we have made some changes to the way students will be asked to pay for their participation.  You will have to make two payments, one to Miniature in Tune (this cover the deposit, teacher's fees and MiT overhead costs), the other one to the Tune Kursuscenter (this covers your stay at the Kursuscenter, meals and other fees).  Part one of the payment, to the amount of EUR 585.00 (this includes a non-refundable Deposit of EUR 150,00) must be paid via bank transfer to Miniature in Tune upon registration.  The second part of the payment, which mostly covers your stay and meals, will have to be made in May 2024, directly to the Kursuscenter (hotel) in Danish Krone, by use of a credit card.  The exchange rate for Danish Krone may fluctuate during the year, this could impact the total amount of the price students pay for Miniature in Tune.  You can find the package options for your stay at the Kursuscenter for Miniature in Tune below. 

Material fees vary and have to be paid directly to the teachers. The amount can be seen in the description of each class.  However, the material fees can vary due to changes in currencies and shipping expenses for the materials to the school.

PAYMENT MINIATURE IN TUNE

Upon registration we require payment of EUR 585,00 (this includes a non-refundable deposit of EUR 150,00)         by bank transfer to Miniature in Tune (see registration form).

All bank fees in connection with transferring the payment to Miniature in Tune are to be paid by the participant.

CANCELLATION POLICY MiT:

If you cancel before April 1st, 2024  MiT will refund you EUR 435,00.  The EUR150,00 deposit will not be refunded.  If you cancel on or after April 1st, 2024, no refunds will be issued.
PLEASE BE AWARE:  in the unfortunate event that Miniature in Tune is cancelled by us, we will refund you the registration fees minus the deposit of EUR 150,00. (the deposit covers obligatory taxes and other expenses).
We strongly recommend purchasing a good travel insurance which will also cover cancellations.

PAYMENT KURSUSCENTER
Your choice of stay (room and board) is to be paid directly to the Kursuscenter via Mastercard or VISA.  The Kursuscenter does not accept any cash.  In May we will provide the students with a payment overview and a secure link where the Kursuscenter can charge your card for the amount due according to your reservation.  Please be aware of the cancellation policy below!  Also, if you don't show up without cancellation according to the Kursuscenter's cancellation policy, your card will be charged for the full amount.
Cancellation policy for the Tune Kursuscenter: 

If you want to cancel your stay at the Kursuscenter, you must do so in writing to Tune Kursuscenter. Up to 4 weeks before the start of MiT, cancellation is free and your payment to the Kursuscenter will be refunded in full.  If you cancel between 4 and 2 weeks before the start of MiT, you will be refunded 50% of your payment to the Kursuscenter for MiT.  If you cancel between 2 weeks and 24 hours before the start of MiT, you will be refunded 25% of your payment to the Kursuscenter for MiT.  If you cancel 24 hours or less before the start of MiT, you will not be refunded the payment due for your stay at the Kursuscenter for MiT.

We strongly recommend purchasing a good travel insurance which will also cover cancellations.

 

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE

If you arrive on Sunday or Monday, rooms are available for check-in from 2:00 PM.

Sunday dinner is served at 6:00 PM.

Room check-out on Friday or Saturday is no later than 9:00 AM (subject to change).

We start with a welcome gathering on Monday 8th of July 2024 at 9.30 AM in Auditorium 1.

Classes take place from Monday July 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM until Friday July 12, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

We end with an exhibition of our projects after classes on Friday and say goodbye to each other in Auditorium 1.

COVID RULES

Even though there are hardly any restrictions at the moment due to Covid, we still want to stress that all students and teachers are required to observe Covid rules indicated by the Danish Government. INSURANCE

It is each student's responsibility to closely follow the instructions from each teacher on the proper use of all tools during class. Miniature in Tune does not take any responsibility for any accidents.

We strongly recommend everyone to buy a travel insurance policy.

ILLNESS/ACCIDENTS-FOR STUDENTS NOT LIVING IN DENMARK

We recommend you buy an insurance policy in case you get sick or have an accident. Check with the authorities in your own Country.

 

SALES OF YOUR OWN DESIGNED MINIATURES

Tuesday evening, as usual, you will have the opportunity to sell miniatures of your own design. You can book a table with a white table cloth for EUR 5,00.

MiT AUCTION

This year we will organize a live Auction for the benefit of Miniature in Tune.  We would like to ask students and patrons of MiT to make and/or donate a miniature to the Auction.  These miniatures will then be auctioned and sold to the highest bidder during a fun live Aution. 

 

EXHIBITION OF MINIATURES

Each year we would like to make a little exhibition in Auditorium 1.

This year's theme is  "TRAVELING THE WORLD".
If you have miniatures, miniature scenes, roomboxes or even your dollshouse you would like to share them with us at the exhibition, please contact us at miniatureintune@gmail.com with a photo and a brief description.

 

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE EVENING

In the evening you have various options for activities. 

Some workshops are open until 22.00. Please ask to your teacher for permission.

We aim to offer activities such as seminars, brief lectures, a sales night, an exhibition and an auction.

The sales night on Tuesday evening showcases invited exhibitors and those of the students and teachers who want to sell something they have made themselves. You can indicate your interest to participate in the sales night on the registration form. 

Wednesday evening and Friday afternoon we exhibit the items we have just finished in the 3-day and 2-day classes. Every night you are invited to the cosy "Kostalden" (The Cow barn), where we have a chat and a laugh and exchange experiences of the day with tea, coffee or other refreshments from the self service bar. (Drinks from the self service bar must be paid by card upon check-out).
